A toll collector or automated payment machine in your lane can issue a toll violation notice to you with payment instructions. If for any reason you cannot pay your toll at the lane, DO NOT back your vehicle out of the toll lane or drive through the gate – it is unsafe and can cause damage. The registered owner of a vehicle that travels through the Skyway Toll Plaza without payment of the proper toll is responsible for any and all missed tolls or violations, whether or not the unpaid toll was intentional or if someone else was driving the vehicle.
